We are now back to holding meetings in-person, at the regular time every Tuesday! Now on Scoutbook
Our on-line comunication, including meeting and event reminders, is now on Scoutbook! Ask at the next troop meeting.Summer Camp
Our summer camp plans are still up in the air, due to both Covid-19 concerns and the increased cost of the council's camps. But we will definitely have some sort of outdoor exerience this summer.Fundraising
Increasing costs throughout scouting are a serious concern, but fortunately Troop 245 is in decent shape. We have kept up through informal donations and don't have any formal fundraising plans.
Nonetheless, there are a few ways to help out:
Amazon - If you have an Amazon account, you can sign up with the Amazon Smiles program (at no cost to you) and choose Friends of Troop 245 as your designated charity.
Intel - Intel employees and retirees who volunteer time for the troop can submit hours for Friends of Troop 245. Employees can also make donations through Benevity.
In 2020 we received enough from these programs to pay for our annual charter fee!
... And of course, old-fashioned donations are always welcome! Please consider us at the end of the year, and don't forget that many larger companies will match donations. Friends of Troop 245 is registered as a 501(c)3 charitable organization with the IRS.
We're experimenting with Google calendar for the troop calendar.
